What a beautiful day. After sweeping away the snow from the entrances to York House and the Disabled parking bay we took a walk in the gardens to look at the snow and feed the birds. With lovely squishy, crunchy, powdery snow underfoot we checked to see who had been visiting the gardens in the night: cats, birds and foxes. Then of course we built a snowman, only small but with lots of character. He had a punky grassy hairdo and little beady eyes made of pea shingle with an ivy berry mouth which set him off perfectly. The joy that fresh snow brings is wonderful, wrapped up in plenty of layers we enjoyed the wintery sunshine. As the old adage goes ‘there’s no such thing as the wrong weather just the wrong clothing!’. We were suitably prepared and spent a very enjoyable morning session outside.
